The official challenge blurb for you!

Welcome to LC Basics Bootcamp!
I haven't done this in a bit. It's time again.

One key thing that I have learned in my journey is this:
Consistency + Persistence + Time = Success

Consistently nailing the basics is so important. And consistency creates good habits, routines, and gives you momentum that will carry you through hard times or disruptions to your normal schedule. Forget motivation. Motivation is a fickle thing. Discipline carries you through when motivation fails you.

So what are the basics?
Well, hitting your carb goal, obviously, right? There are other very important other basics. Staying hydrated, keeping electrolytes up, logging consistently (if you're a logger), exercise (if that's one of your goals), hitting your macros, staying away from trigger foods and other things you know set you back...

You can report your progress to your goal, whether it be ultra-obsessive daily hitting your low-carb plan basics, or working on a fitness goal, or even nailing down other good habits in your life. And if you have problems or need advice, you'll find that here.

Each week there will be a thread to collect your progress that week and to interact with other challengers.
I'll keep links to the weekly threads at the bottom of the challenge stickie at the top of the Group page, for when the thread gets buried. 2 clicks, to the stickie and the Weekly link, will get you back here asap.

So go ahead and post your goals below.

My daily post would look something like this.
SW: 159.6
CW: 159.6

Wed 6/1:
Logged: :+1:

Electrolytes: :+1:
Calorie Goal: :+1:
Carb Goal: :+1:
Exercise: HIIT :+1:

But this is your show. So focus on your plan's basics.

This is our last week of this month's challenge. Let's tear it up!

Welp, I'm going to say I've been consistent. I'm not down any this week, and oh f-ing well. I got a whole lot of physical activity last week, and I know from past experience, and your guidance back then, bacon, that physical activity may equal water weight, especially when muscles are repairing. And I'm nearing that 'special lady time'.
I can't find my measuring tape, but I'm sure I've lost some inches.
Today I'm cranky, and I'm cranky.

This week has not been easy with my Mum here and she fully understands my woe and supports me, but I haven't been able to stick with it fully going to get back on track on Saturday after my mum goes home, its easier to do when there isn't anyone here

I lost my original reply, too!
Basically saying that I'm hanging in with maintenance, still have 9.2 pounds of regained weight to get off to get to my sweet spot compromise weight.
Changing my focus from losing mega weight has left me feeling unfocused and has interfered with my personal brand of motivation. For maintenance I want to shift that focus to health. Problem is I'm not really motivated by that, more by getting results in the category of what I look like. So my compromise is that my maintenance focus will be to be aware of and to improve the health benefits of low carb living AND to add going from skinny fat to shapely by adding body weight and resistance workouts.
Still pond walking, too, for endurance.
Kinda feel like this month I'm shifting into a new lifestyle and it's a bit rocky going, but I think I'm on the right track for now.
Trying to take it step by step, and not overdo, and enjoy myself.

Waaaaa! I don't want this to be the last week. Oh well, maybe there will be something next week that will be just as much fun.

    SW: 249
    CW: 232

This week's goal is to get under 230. I think I can do 2.5 lbs this week if I get really strict with myself. No goofing off means no goofing off, PERIOD.

Aaand my post was twice as long, but the last half vanished into who knows what or where. It was a miraculous second half, full of inspiration and marvelous anecdotes. I may have even won some type of an award, but alas....I'm sorry you guys have to live without it. :D

That happens to me almost every post

Cw 125.8lb put on 1kilo (over 2lb's) overnight. Frustration. I know salt, water retention etc but just feeling like the scale is indicating I am out of control diet wise, which does not feel a fair way of responding to my efforts.

Try to not let it get to you. I've had chains of days where I'll jump from 155 to 161, to 157, and back down to 153.

Sorry I haven't posted much. I've been reading all your posts. Just been doing the thing. Running the kids to their thing. And now I'm teaching the youngest kid. So that's 4 at a time. Busy busy.

Most people have that problem. My scale is always all over the place as well. It's normal. Frustrating, but normal.

I can do another basics challenge. Watching to make sure the basics are covered never expires. And if someone else comes up with another challenge, well... we've run simultaneous challenges before.

I am not doing a great job with getting back to basics. Well, during the day I am fine but come evening I seem to go looking for carby foods. I am getting better, but not good enough, yet I don't seem to be able to make the jump to a good nutritional ketogenic diet. I am sort of easing back into it... That sounds good though. Um. I am drawing out the process over weeks for some reason. I need to stop but haven't. Yet.

I think beng less busy is almost working against me. When I am out of he house and very busy I am distracted and skip "bad" foods more easily. Our homeschooling is slowing down now (we go at half speed for the summer), my coaching commitments have ended, the classes my boys attend 1-2 days per week are done, my supervison and parent council commitments for that part time school are done, the new dog is potty trained and not the devil crazed chewer he was (although he still has an unusual attraction to a couple of my pillows). I feel like I have let my eating relax. It's on vacation. ;)

I need to get back to work in terms of food.

I've been IF on a 16:8 schedule for the past few months but was still eating the wrong foods I'm afraid. Combing IF with LC has been great these past two weeks.
I had dropped 7lbs pretty quickly with IF and then dropped another 4lbs this last week adding in LC.
I was stalking the Basic's thread last week so I wouldn't forget to join this week

    Doing well so far!

vitamins - forgot :( I get nauseous if I take them on an empty stomach in the AM and always seem to forget in the PM.

I am going to be getting back to basics again after an appalling end to June - going to have a small break away from logging for a couple of days and start fresh on 1st July - going to get myself back into LCHF before the 1st July though but my logging will be fresh from 1st July

Didn't have time to weigh in this morning.
I'm in this weird state between weight loss and maintenance. I've been bouncing between just in and just above my maintenance goal range for a few months now and it's a bit tiresome how easily I jump back above it. I'm not sure what to do about that.

Today my calories and carbs both were kind of halfway in between weight loss and maintenance. I had the rare opportunity to eat at a good Thai restaurant and let myself enjoy it within reason. :)

@macchiatto I hear you! I am close to maintenance goal and my body is bouncing weight wise. To keep my sanity I have declared traffic light weight bands. Green 115-120, amber 120.1-124.9, red 125+. That way I feel I have less risk of weight creep. Right now I am in the danger zone- jumped amber to red yesterday so refocus my choices and get some more exercise!
