Hi guys! To any experienced egg fasters out there - I have two questions:

1. Can I have my added collagen powder with my BPC? I use Great Lakes collagen:

2. Can I have unsweetened tea?

Anyone have any recipes, tips, etc to share?

Thanks in advance!
:)

    I don't see why not.
The idea of the egg fast is to simplify eating a very Keto diet for several days in a row. Just making it so uncomplicated there's no way to not get results.
The only things to really avoid are probably sweeteners, maybe dairy, veggies and of course, sugars/starches/grains.

Ya, the egg fast is only a "hack" in that you force yourself to take all the guesswork out of what you're eating for a few days. There's nothing metabolically advantaged about the eggs themselves. Even doing BPC without collagen you're still changing the aspects of the egg fast ...
but the idea is to avoid spiking insulin, so BPC supports that ... I see the collagen is 6g protein per Tbsp, so as long as you're mindful of your overall protein it should be fine.

On a related note, the IBIH lady (I forget her name) says that an egg fast may work because eggs help your liver, which may help it to metabolize fat. Is that not true? I haven't looked further. I just know when I did the egg fast I lost over a pound a day and then gained back a couple of the pounds but over all lost about 5 lbs in less than a week. I used basic BPC - just coffee, coconut oil, and butter.

Thanks! I was thinking along the same lines, but a little extra validation never hurts! :)

I think this might be the article you are talking about - interesting stuff! http://chrismasterjohnphd.com/2010/11/23/sweet-truth-about-liver-and-egg-yolks/

@KetoCutie www.healthfulpursuit.com has a lot of great information about making her Rocket Fuel Lattes with collagen like this - and considers it maintaining a fast - and she also has tons of great info on all variations of low carbing!
