Define "pace"

When speaking of "pace" as it pertains to rowing, I assume we are talking about time/500m. Yes?

For my club we use 500m times to record the pace of the crews. It's a good way of measuring crew performance and allow adjustments in selections.0

I would think pace would pertain more to the stroke rate.0

That sounds right to me, Rogue. I'm a rank beginner, so I'm still sorting out the language, but you can have a ridiculous stroke rate, and still not be moving the boat much if there's no power in the drive.0
