I'm confused by some of your readings

It seems to me that anything below 90 is considered low blood sugar, yet some of you seem disappointed when you have a reading of 101.
In Canadian terms 90 is 5, normal. 101 is 5.6, also a great reading.
Are some of you getting dangerously low with morning readings of 66 and 72's.
Aren't you worried?

I am from canada to. 6 years ago my endo told me if fasting is below six it's good. Then 4 or 5 years ago they revised and said fasting should be below 5.5. Currently my endo makes me aim at 4 to 5 for fasting. My mom's endocrinologist worries a lot about hypos so he is told her he is not aiming at a perfect control he would rather have her on the higher range so he asked her to aim for 6 with fasting blood glucose. So yes when I get over 5 I am not happy but my mom is. 66 would be an hypo but 72 is OK. Maybe that what it is simply different requirements set by our GP'S or endo's. Typically hypo are below 4.1

Hmmm, I guess it's best t flow your doctor. My endo said that n everyone is the same, of course, so a fasting of 7 is okay for me, but below 5 I have to be careful. It can be such a confusing disease eh?0

I practice "tight control" so I keep my sugar on the lower side. This partially due to the expectation that my endo is going to take me off one of my meds in August. I'm anticipating that my numbers will rise as I strive for control with less medication. Right now 2 hours after a meal I'm in the 80s or 90s when the "norm" is 120s. After reducing meds I'll probably be much closer to those readings. I'm in the US as you can tell from my scale. http://www.diabetes.org/living-with-diabetes/treatment-and-care/blood-glucose-control/tight-diabetes-control.html?referrer=https://www.google.com/1
