Daily carb goals to start with?

I'm fairly small (5'6", small frame) and get a moderate amount of exercise. What's a good daily carb goal to start with? I'm not looking to lose a huge amount of weight, but it would be nice to see a result by the end of the month.

Yes, I saw that, thanks. I have adrenal problems and am trying to balance electrolytes. I make a disgusting-tasting mix of broth and salt and Bob's Baking Soda on the advice of my N.D. for that, and I guess it fills that same role.
What I need most is to stop the outrageous hunger I get at night. I do better on a carb-restricted diet, but even so I get really hungry at two a.m. If I can't sleep, that's part of the problem.1
