@KnitOrMiss first the ashwagandha really helps reduce my pain below level of LCHF only which is awesome.
Second I do CES regularly. Look at page 22/30 in the link below to see why I take Ashwagandha for the brain.

"Hints for Clinicians: Potentiating Hints for Clinicians: Potentiating
Neurotransmitter Precursors
Clinical experience over many years has indicated that CES almost certainly synergizes
the uptake and utilization of medications or neurotransmitterprecursors when
applied approximately 30 minutes after the medication or precursor has been ingested.
To increase the amount of a given neurotransmitter, therefore, CES should be used
along with the precursor. Some of these are:
• Tryptophan is a precursor of Serotonin, ACTH, Endorphin
• D-phenylalanine is a precursor of Dopamine phenylalanine is a precursor of Dopamine
• L-tyrosine is a precursor of Dopamine, Norepinephrine, Epinephrine
• The herb Rhodiola Rosea Increases levels of all the above,
• As does the Indian herb Ashwagandha"
For CES I use the Sota Bio Tuner that is based on part of the Bob Beck protocol out of the 80's and is a reason I added Rhodiola and Ashwagandha. I do the 2.4 grams of Ashwagandha daily based on some other research that I found.
There are a lot of graphs in this e-book about CES for different health concerns but I have not drilled down into them. Page 22 had the ashwagandha info that was of interest to me. CES is done in 20 minutes sessions and I am 22 minutes from the office so I picked up a used Bio Tuner off eBay for $125 and keep it in the car.

Hmmm, thanks, @GaleHawkins.... I'm taking Rhodiola along with my L-Tyrosine just after I get up, but I couldn't remember why. I hate that I need a whole dissertation to figure out the complex 'what to take when and with what.' I was considering dumping it since I couldn't remember. This helps.1

Thanks @canadjineh. This week and all day today I have been working on pulling together some info on the perhaps 25 supplements/vitamins that I take, have taken or will start taking.
Since Aug 2014 I have put in 800+ clock hours of reading research and articles on how to eat and the protocols used outside of the USA to beat back stage 3 & 4 cancer or better yet prevent from it and other health issues ever popping up. Remember I was planning to start on Enbrel injections Nov 2014 for pain management but dodged that bullet when on a hunch first of Oct 2014 I cold turkey cut out all sugar and all forms of grain that manages my pain quite well in just 30 days so I never had to face the cancer risk that some associate with Enbrel injections after they developed cancer.
I too have forgotten why I take some and at the dosage that I take. This testing has gotten expensive so I want the intel pulled together for the rest of my family before I forget or something happens to me. I was thinking today I need to list in detail all of the electro-medical equipment and how and why to use it but the info for the complete Bob Beck protocol is one the web in most all countries as well of manufactures of the equipment that he put into public domain while he was still living.
We do not need to forget what we have learned that works/does not work for each of us.0
