Hello all, I have been using coconut oil in my morning coffee as well as for skin care and am liking the results so far however I do have a question.. The coconut oil I have been using simply says "pure coconut oil no artificial flavors or preservatives" is this the correct product for me to be using or should it be something different? I only ask because when reading about coconut oil consumption and use one of the biggest things is the cost... The jar I buy is 30oz and about $5 which is great for me money wise but is it the correct product? Thanks so much for any responses you guys are great!:)

Yes, pure coconut oil is perfectly fine, and usually highly recommended unless you don't like coconut or allergic to it, to use in connection with LCHF.

I make sure it is USDA organice Expeller Pressed unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil, and smells like coconut. I use Spectrum brand, it is a high quality oil and I too use it in coffee and on my skin (i add to other oils, lotions, hair moistuizers, etc), and for cooking. I add it over meats and vegetables before baking, grilling or roasting. It is a bit more expensive than regular coconut oil but well worth the benefits.

I get the $5 jar too. My budget won't allow me to get the expensive stuff. I don't like unrefined because I don't like the taste.

I use Virgin Coconut Oil, and try to buy from Thrive, where you get a discount. It's kind of line a healthy online Costco, but offers discounted healthy foods and products, such as coconut oil: https://thrivemarket.com/
