It's a sweetener, any opinions on it? As far as carbs and so forth?

It's one of the oldest artificial sweeteners around, has no effect on blood sugar at all (at least not in expected dosages), and has generally always been considered safe, except by people who sport the finest in foil headwear.
It's fallen out of favor in recent years, primarily due to it's funky aftertaste, and the fact that so many more options exist in modern times.

Yeah - it's a cheaper option where I live currently, probably because it's south africa and we're behind schedule. Lol

It's cheaper here as well, but that's primarily due to the demand being down. The price difference is rarely enough to justify it for those who just don't like the chemical like aftertaste though.

What chemical aftertaste? All I taste is butter and cream... (I use it in my coffee). Seriously though, to me it's more palatable than Stevia tbh.

If you actually prefer it, then the market shift definitely works in your favor. :)

Lol Sweet n' Low is a brand I remember - used to put a packet each, in cups of coffee at Perkins when I was in my early twenties and waiting for my waitress friends to get off work. I don't eat out at restaurants a lot these days, but I hardly see the pink packets in the little table cubbies anymore. It's usually sugar and Splenda on offer, now.

So old, it reminds me of this...LOL
