Hi there - Seems there is a lot of conflicting info out there on this - and the struggle for me is this: getting potassium levels up while staying low-carb, since it's something that most occurs naturally in fruit and veg, which ups my carb intake! All of the info I am able to find online about the topic are centered around the needs of those who are bodybuilding/recomp or highly active/athletic. I work at home and don't exercise more than walking a couple miles maybe 2 times a week (weather-permitting) at the most, or just doing chores around the house, and no walking at all, at minimum.

I saw something somewhere about 1000 mg per day but I can't find it now, and I don't think it was a recommendation for those in ketosis or following a LCHF WOL.

Activity: Sedentary
Female
~1600 kcals per day

TIA.

There's potassium in a lot of things that you don't realize because it's not required on labeling.
Coffee is a good source as well as tea.
There's no reason to stress potassium. I just add a dash or two of NuSalt (Salt substitute that's potassium chloride) to some water or food.
Magnesium and sodium are much more important to supplement because magnesium is harder to get even if you do eat lots of green veggies because even the veggies are deficient due to depleted soil. And sodium is lost before the other two.
If you keep sodium in check, you body won't dump potassium so Keto peeps don't really need any more than anyone else.

Yep, looking into magnesium supplements already, and know about sodium, too. The whole electrolyte thingo...but potassium was the one I knew little about/wanted clear info on, so I could move forward with getting the trifecta in order.

And thanks. I am glad I don't have to worry too much about potassium, then.
