Optifast after surgery

I'm 11 months post RNY. On a local buy sell page someone is selling a 2 week supply of shakes.

Would it be OK for me to go on Optifast for a couple of weeks?

I'd recommend talking to your surgeon. I don't know much about Optifast, but do know it's usually medically monitored.

Is there a reason why you feel you need to do it for that long? I've done a day or two liquid/soft to kinda kick start me back on plan.

Have you looked into the nutritional content to see if it will fit with your nutritionist's plan?

I'm looking to kick start things again and don't know what to do. The nutrition meets the guide lines. Maybe I should talk to someone from the clinic and see what they have to say.

Definitely have a chat with the clinic - I'm 8 months out and still use a shake daily to help me reach protein goals... can't imagine having 3 a day would hurt things unless you have an intolerance to the milk powder?
