I've marinated steak and chicken in a variety of things. Usually half the marinade is left behind after 24 hrs. Do I count all the carbs or only half? All the calories or only half?

that' why I hate marinades LOL... I weigh the total of the marinade ingredients, make it a separate recipe (such as Our Secret Sirloin Marinade) then use it, then at the end, weigh out how much is left - THEN I enter the recipe for the Secret Sirloin including only the amount of the marinade recipe that was actually used. It is a royal pain in the rear so I seldom do it (and MFP makes it way harder than it has to be; I actually use a different app now: My Net Diary)

I would recommend measuring the total amount you're using before you pour it over your meat and then measuring the leftover after you pull your raw meat out and using the difference as the amount used, divided based on the portion size of meat you're having.
