Friend's colonoscopy!

This friend is skin and bones, literally. She's painfully thin!
Anyway, the cleanse for her first colonoscopy last year wasn't good, so her dr said she'd have to return the next year. It's the time, and she just told me that she has to fast FOR TWO DAYS to cleanse properly!
Um, yuck! And in this heat? Better she should be getting IV fluids in a controlled setting!

I cannot imagine fasting for two days... Even going to a fluid only diet would be painful... I like my food!!0

That sounds very weird. I have only fasted for a day and drank the crap that clears out, well, the crap "sorry".1

Docs need to make it easier to get these procedures done. I had one explain a prep plain that was too complicated to follow with her rushed her explanation.0

I'm 51 and my dr wants me to go too. I told him I'm waiting for a simpler procedure. he doesn't think it's going to change so fast .. unless I do a CAT scan which doesn't sound good either.0
