Do you enjoy chai?

I wanted to share a nice treat with you guys, so I hope it's okay to post here!! I haven't quite perfected the recipe, but my fav Starbucks drink is the Chai Frappuccino. Needless to say that's kind of a no go with this WOE.

So!! I brewed 4 oz of water with 2 red chai tea bags. I'd probably do a third next time. You can let it cool if you want, I just threw it in the blender cause I was going to compensate with ice anyways and thus brewed strong!

I threw in 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream, about .5 of grounded cloves and cinnamon each (I recommend nutmeg too) additionally. Since I like my drinks sweet I did about 1 tbsp of erythritol and 6 drops of stevia.

The amount of ice is unmeasured unfortunately, because the temperature of your liquid can vary so much. I build my way up to 3 handfuls to get the consistency I want. And...voila!!! Guilt free chai treat!!

I wanted to share in case any one person might enjoy it. I also welcome improvements~

Nice! I like my chai hot and its delicious with coconut cream and a scoop of unsweetened cocoa powder. I bet the coconut cream (not milk) would go nice in your blended version too and add some nice Frappucino-like thickness.

I do love chai - I make bulletproof chai lattes... I steep 10 tea bags in about 6-8 cups of boiling water for about 10 min (so it's nice and strong) then mix in 1 can of full fat coconut milk and keep that in the fridge. Shake it up each morning, heat the tea mixture and blend in coconut oil or MCT, a bit of cream and usually some coconut cream and it's amazing!

I LOVE chais. Right now I use Level Ground's Chai, which is lovely, but these recipes here with coconut milk are pretty darned tempting.

Coconut creme for sure, and cardamom for more Indian flavour. I love cardamom... probably one of my favorite spices. Also other favorites but not in chai, lol cinnamon, caraway, and cumin. Freaky they are all 'c's. Never noticed that before.
