My limit is 20 but went over today and hit 25. Is it hard to stay under 20 for a few months? I have a lot of weight to lose.

You ate 25 crabs?
(If you are what you eat...... maybe stick to nuts?)6 -

@GiveHerWingsSheWillFly 25 is nothing to worry about. Just keep trying to stay the course and it gets much easier each day1

I always thought of it as a "hard limit" and "soft limit" trying to only allow myself to go over due to non starchy vegetables.
So, if I went up to 30 for example, I wouldn't have a piece of dark chocolate too... Because I already allowed for extra carbs that day.
Some days I was only at 15 or 20 after dinner and if I wanted a few berries or the dark chocolate, or coconut flakes or whatever, then I would have them.
More rarely, I would be at 30 and still have extra things and it would be ok as long as it wasn't the norm.
The other thing to consider is that barring any strict Doctor set carb limit, there's no reason to think that you absolutely must be at or below 20g every day to lose weight. Lots of members here are losing weight just fine at up to 150g a day. It depends more on your body and how it handles glucose. And if you don't get relief from food cravings and hunger unless you're at a low level... What your personal threshold for long term success is very individual.
As long as you aren't letting food (cravings or sugar addiction) control your choices, and hunger is under control allowing you to eat less food overall, you will do just fine.9 -
I'd be less worried about 5 extra carbs than I would be about supplementing magnesium, sodium, potassium and staying hydrated.
@KenSmith108 The lightbulb just went on over your sign... as in Walk off the extra carbs?2 -
After I walk for an hour after work.
I look forward to a plum tomato & a cuke
for my snack. Tons of salt on them.

I'm allergic to shellfish, so I have to stick to a Zero-Crab WOE.5

I don't think you can eat too many crabs on this diet. Eat all you want of them!
Twenty five is no biggie. There's varying opinion regarding cap for ketosis. It takes time and self experimentation.
