This actually makes sense... I'm going to have to read, but in my experience, my insulin issues didn't peak until I started losing weight...

Really? We're you getting insulin levels directly checked or triangulating from HDL, BG, IQ, etc.?

My first thought was "bull," I'll be honest (<-- obese and have hyperinsulinemia), but after thinking about it, it makes perfect sense.

My weight goes down when I keep my insulin down, even when caloric intake remains pretty much stable. (Yes, I have my insulin directly measured, and I have logs throughout the past 5 years showing this.) It's when my insulin goes up that I can't lose weight (because I can't deal with the underlying cause of the increased insulin, which is generally an increased intake in carbohydrates).
