Pregnant and low carb

Has anyone ever followed this way of eating while expecting? Potentially a question for the doctor but would it be viewed as unhealthy and insufficient dietarywise? The intention would be to eat fruit and vegetables, but primarily protein and fats.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

with my last pregnancy(2014) I was basically keto low carb because my diabetes was out of control I was basically eating meat and salad, very little fruit and absolutely no rice, flour or bread. i gained only 15lbs, had an A1c of 5 and a very healthy 7lb full term baby. I don't see how it would be bad to eat lc during pregnancy but Dr may think otherwise

Here's an older thread on this same topic.

I had GD in my last pregnancy. Was put on a diet of about 120g by my dr. Delivered a healthy boy, full term. Should have gone lower (75-100g) because I didn't have perfect control and needed meds. But that's hindsight talking.
