Hey Mark I see that the fires in Santa Clarita are a bit more contained now. Hope you are able to ride soon.

I enjoyed my Gourmet Century Ride last week-end with close to 70 miles and 4100+ feet of climbs.
will get out today before it gets to 90°F. How about all of you???

Sorry Bob, just saw this Monday morning!

We rode out in Malibu, in the Santa Monica mountains early Saturday (woke up at 4:20 am...the things we do! Climbed Latigo Canyon then Sycamore Canyon. Stopped at the (in)famous Neptune's Net for a quick bite, then 16 miles back on PCH. In all 46 miles and 4700' of elevation. Tough slow day for me. We descended down Yerba Buena, which is somewhat technical and pretty chewed up. So I had to pump the brakes the entire way down. Hard on the hands, but beats going over a cliff. Speaking of which, he didn't go over a cliff, but one of our riders hit a rock going pretty flat and went over his handlebars. Amazingly he only had a few scrapes. His bike was pretty messed up though.

Had our annual cycling group pot luck yesterday and saw the women who wiped out last week. She looks great, just some bruises. She's back on the bike.

    No riding Sunday.

Oh, to your point Bob..the fires are mostly contained, but we probably won't ride that area for awhile. Lot's of other place to go though!

Wow Gavin that's great! Haven't seen ya in "forever". I found for me that combining biking with what I "had to do" helped a lot as opposed with trying to "fit it in".
