I have fat, protein and calories to use up today but not many carbs. What do you eat when this happens?

Shrimp for protein. Few calories. Butter if you want the fat. A good dose of Old Bay for sodium.

I prelog to avoid this. However, when it does happen, I'll use small amounts of macro dense specifics to cover the difference. Chicken breast or shrimp to target protein. Certain cheeses and oils to target fats, though nuts can work well if I have some carbs to kick around.

Are you hungry? If not, I try to listen to my body and not eat. If you are hungry, cheese crisps or prosciutto are two of my favorite practically carb-free treats. Or olives. Yum!

I also prelog and plan my day in advance to ensure that my caloried and macros will remain under control and that I'll be able to enjoy satisfying meals and ignore hunger. But if you're trying to avoid carbs all together, you can fry up a burger, have some meat & cheese, a boiled egg, deviled eggs, scrambled eggs, have a cheese & bacon omelette, cook up some sausages... some of those things may have 1-2 carbs, but imo that's better than driving myself into a binge because I can't find something enjoyable to eat.

I keep things like pepperoni sticks & beef jerky around as well as those mini Babybel cheeses (0 carb) for fat and protein hits if I'm short a bit on my macros.

I don't worry about it if I'm not hungry. I sometimes get "yelled at" by MFP because my calories are under by too much. I don't really think I have to eat all of the fat or protein if I'm keeping my carbs where I want them. I also try to pre log my foods; I want dinner captured so I know what I can do between breakfast and dinner for my carbs. I'm not an expert by any means and there are so many here much more educated than I on this stuff; but end of day, if I'm not hungry, why eat?

If you are still hungry then the poster above have given lots of options. I try to always keep salami, pepperoni or something like that around these days. Cheese for me causes my weight to stall I've found, if I eat too much. I can't eat an ounce just to get my fats up. I'd probably go with BPC if that was my goal.
