I am hoping to start doing some strength training from home. Does anyone have any advice on a program/equipment that works well for them?
I am very out of shape in general so I need to start slow.
I'm interested in
Right now I am starting with kettlebells and a youtube video but since I'm basically starting from zero I'm up for whatever.
The only equipment i have right now is some kettlebells but I am willing to invest in some free weights.
(I am also looking for MFP friends to support/who would cheer me on, so please feel free to add if you also need a support friend)

- bodyweight routines

- stronglifts
- anything else I could do at home to get stronger

If you are completely out of shape, I think bodyweight and kettlebells are a great start. At least for a couple of months while you build up some muscle/endurance. You are going to hurt bad enough as it is. Then you can move onto more traditional weight training.
