Sodium/Electrolytes

Hello, I'm new to the group and LCHF. In my first week I've lost 5lbs of water weight and my moods have completely changed around!
My question is regarding something I've searched for but haven't exactly found what I was looking for.
At what point should one be adding more sodium into their low carb diet to supplement for electrolytes? I am not trying to achieve ketosis; I have been playing with it over this week and feel as though I will always aim to be <50g. On the off day I'd add in a serving or so of fruit, I'd cap myself at <80g
I've just seen many people saying they don't worry about sodium being high because they need to replace flushed electrolytes with LCHF and I don't know if I qualify for that. I've been drinking vegetable broth and Daily levels have been about 3000-4000. I feel fine but it's only been a week and I don't want to do any damage for long term. Not worried about bloating, hasn't been a problem. With the 5lb loss I doubt the sodium's been holding water back.

Read the Launch pad sticky and this one too http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10358179/keto-flu-dizzy-weak-tired-headaches-cramping-muscles-electrolyte-imbalance-may-be-your-problem#latest
I take bouillon once or twice a day a liberally salt everything. I eat pickles and olives and take a few drinks of pickle juice a day. You really don't have to worry about getting too much salt.
The stickies will explain more in depth.

Ah that makes sense to read that! Thank you so much. I was one of those who USED to demonize sodium, but have since let go of that. (btw google image search Sodium Demon, there are some lovely cartoons)2

Yes, read the information linked above! Ketosis begins at around 50 gm carbs. Sounds like you may have been supplementing enough sodium to prevent the "flu", which is the way this can be completely avoided to start with. So, no, it's never too late to begin adding the sodium! And yes, modern medicine has gotten the sodium warnings wrong (as with many other recommendations that never help!)!0

Ohh okay, I am totally open to any information as I don't claim to be an expert on anything haha. I thought ketosis was <30g0 -

It is just dependent on the person. Very active people can be in ketosis even at 80g. Like everything else, there's always going to be a range...not a concrete number.

Yeah that makes sense too, as I'm finding so many people are different in their journey here. (And so many people think everyone should be the same0
