I'm purging my pantry this weekend and restocking it with healthier items. What are some of your favorite brands? Vitamins, flours, sweeteners, oils.........???????

Oh, and where are the best places to buy them?

    I will just put this here: I prefer Wellbee's almond flour over Honeyville, if you plan to do baking. It is cheaper when purchased from Amazon (at least in the US) and every bit as finely ground as Honeyville. It's been my go-to for a year now.

    But then again, Costco carries Honeville in the 3lb size so there's no shipping, if that's a consideration!

    for vitamins, I like LifeExtension, Jarrow, NOW, Nature's Life, Thompson, Natrol, Thorne, Source Naturals, and Doctor's Best.

    Nutrition Now for probiotics.

    Coconut oil I liked Buried Treasure MCT, Carrington Farms Coconut oil (solid or liquid is MCT)....

    Healthworks Raw Cacao Powder...

    SweetLeaf brand Stevia (I prefer the liquid SweetDrops). NOW Foods Better Stevia (alcohol-free) has gotten good reviews here and online.

    Still working on good flavor extracts, but I've been highly suggested to try Batko...

    Lily's and ChocoRite dark chocolate.

    MatchaDNA makes a good milk frother for blending fats into your hot beverage of choice.

    Root Naturally for Diatomaceous Earth.

    I don't use flours and other oils enough to know. I get most stuff on Amazon.

    @Phrick - those brands are both on amazon, and with prime, free shipping. Don't know cost comparison to Costco, though.

    Yeah I get the Wellbee's on Amazon with Prime, 5lbs at a time. Usually only go through 3 a year but I suspect our consumption will go up now that my 15yo is toying with the idea of LC too!

    I tried the SweetLeaf chocolate Stevia drops and to me, it tasted bitter. It would be great to hear from others who have been at this a while and already figured out which products taste great.

    I've not purchased many "specialty" items. I buy Trader Joe's liquid stevia and whatever coconut oil is priced "reasonably" and reads virgin/unrefined.

    I ate low fat, low sodium, low cholesterol for so long I'm excited to eat dill pickles, cheese and whole eggs!

    Slightly OT ....

    Avoid brands peddling bogus low-carb grain bombs:
    * Dreamfields Pasta
    * Julian Bakery

    @KnitOrMiss I had never thought of DE as anything but pest control (and a cruel one). How do you take this and aren't there safety concerns?

    I found this on wikipedia:

    DE is dangerous to breathe (really any dust is terrible for your lungs), the FDA has labeled it generally recognized as safe for oral consumption.
