Hi, what app do you folks use to get nutrition info on recipes you create? I tried using MFP but I'm confused on the "serves how many people" part. I mean last night I made a cream sauce but I don't know how many people it will serve? Some like 1/2 cup some only want a 1/4 cup. I don't know how to enter a serving size without having to put down how many people it serves. Is there some other app that I can use for this?

That's how many servings it is.
If you make a recipe that you get 6 servings out of, you would enter it as serving 6 people.
It's hard to get exact measurements though.
I've heard of some people entering things as 1 serving then weighing the pan, then weighing the finished product and each time weighing their portion and entering just what they ate that way.
I think i did it that way once. But usually I just guessed. I didn't really cook from recipes though...

When I create my own recipes I try to put the size in the title so I can remember it when logging later...that cream sauce, if it makes 2 cups of sauce I would key it in as serving 8 people and title it "cream sauce 1/4c" so that I would know I used 1/4 cup as the serving size. Then, if you use 1/2 cup you just key it as 2 servings rather than 1.

I always weigh out the total recipe and then weigh my portion (in grams usually) so I know exactly how much of it I had and it doesn't matter how much anyone else takes. So if the total recipe for the cream sauce weighed 300g,I would enter it as 300 servings, then if I had 45 grams of it I'd enter that as 45 servings.

This is how I was trying to describe it... But I goofed and said to enter as 1 serving.
This would be the best way to get the most accurate calories and everything for logging.
Once you safe a recipe, as long as you make it the same every time, you can keep using it
