Fat Fast?

Has anyone done this? If so what were your results? What did you eat?
I'm thinking of doing it for the weekend. I feel like I need to kickstart my fat burning and I've read this might help.

I did the egg fast for a few days and I was starving on it. I ate way over my calorie goals. I was eating eggs with a tablespoon of fat with them and the recipes that went along with it. I don't now if I could do a fat fast either. When I first started Keto the BPC was saving me because I was full for hours and hours with it - nothing but fat really. But recently it isn't doing the trick. I had a real breakfast yesterday and was good but today I had BPC again and I'm starving as I write this.0

I don't find any sort of fad or ultra restrictive intake system helps me.
Starting a long term plan I can stick with works. It has worked for years.

Why dont you try a few days of IF?0

I did 2 days of the egg fast this week, it helped me lose the extra holiday pounds I had put on last week, but it also gave me a very upset tummy and I couldn't be far from the washroom for long, so I stopped. This probably doesn't help you make your decision, but thought I'd share my experience.
I had spent a few days researching it online prior to starting, so I felt I was well informed. You're doing a good job by asking questions before jumping in!! Good luck!1 -

Sounds like something I'll want to try on a weekend then if I do it. I've been researching it. So I might try it.

I did a fat fast in the beginning to get into ketosis quicker. It is said to help with stalls for those who are already fat adapted too. I ate egg yolks, cream cheese, mayo, butter and HWC in coffee keeping my calories at 1200 or less. This is the one I used. They list foods and say feel free to mix these up however suits you. Or just eat a block of cream cheese everyday!!! http://www.ruled.me/using-fat-fasting-technique/0

I did an egg fast once for 3 days. I lost no more than was typical at that time but I had no problems with it at all.
I was no more or less hungry. It really just made eating crazy easy. Nothing to think about. Just eat eggs. Lol
I also used a small amount of cheese and HWC and light seasonings and salt and pepper.
I didn't follow any egg fast program at all. I just cooked basic eggs and didn't make fancy recipes because I don't like cooking from recipes. Lol
I did it trying to "break a stall" back before I came to terms with the fact I really wasn't stalled at all. Loss just slowed way down. I was still losing fat though. So I determined it did nothing in regards to breaking a stall or boosting my weight loss. But I would totally do it again just for simplicity if I needed to. Didn't bother my stomach at all. I actually think my stomach was better than usual because of not having any fiber which gives me bloating.1 -
I did IF once on recommendation to help me get to my goal because I was so close and others thought it might help. I did get closer to my goal than I had been but once I ate just regular lc/keto like I had been I gained the lbs back. they weren't actual lbs lost, just manipulating the scale with limited intake and mostly dehydration.
your body will get into ketosis if you eat low carbs, regardless if you eat only fat or IF for days. once your body burns any of the glucose you eat it'll go after your stored glycogen and when those are depleted you'll be burning fat, usually only takes a few days0
