A few questions

What do you do on off days? I did the first 2 days back to back because I am so pumped up and excited. I am taking today off as my knees get sore toward the end of the run. I want to workout today though not sure what to do. Also I am not sure my form is good. Can you give me pointers on good form. I read yesterday your foot should not land in front of you and you should land in the middle of your foot, not on your heels or on the balls of your feet. Any other pointers?

I would suggest doing some cross training between your running days. Something that would promote recovery from running, but helps you with your aerobic or muscular health. You could do yoga or pilates, walk (only walk), bike, swim, lift weights, or even just do an intensive stretch session. Just make sure you are allowing your body to recover from your runs. Too much running too soon can cause injury, so I would recommend to stick to the 3 day running week as a max for now, at least until you complete the program.0

A mid-foot strike *feels* like a fore-foot strike, though. Honestly, don't over think this too much. If you get out there, you'll get 80-90% there just because its the most efficient. Check out the Good Form Running website for basic pointers.0

Thank you both for your replies! I won't be running everyday. I just did the first two days back to back because they are fairly easy and I was super excited! Time to reel myself back a bit because I don't want to get injured. I took yesterday off. So looking forward to day 3 of week 1 today! ;-) Yay!
New shoes coming soon. That is most important right now, that and good form as I don't want to get injured. I quit exercising last year because my knees hurt, so I should know to take it slow! Some people are just stubborn, and I have a double dose of it!0
