Hey y'all need help once again. Was going to pick up some bacon... Looked at each and every brand, not one had no sugar. Almost all of them said zero carbs, yet all of them said "cured with sugar". I wasn't looking at the sugar flavored ones like maple or brandy or even apple wood. Just plain old run of the mill bacon.... I'm gonna be so sad if I can't have bacon.

That being said, it is probably more expensive.
In Canada, I just use the regular Compliments brand bacon from Safeway. But I have been an idiot and picked up the maple flavoured one before so just check the label haha0 -
@samanthaluangphixay so it's okay to use wright brand bacon original hardwood smoked label says 0 carbs, but it is cured with sugar. just checking2

If it says zero carbs, I don't care if it was "cured with sugar" - I eat it! Yum3

I wouldn't worry too much about it myself. They may be able to say 0 carbs because it is a minimal amount, but they still had to add it to the ingredients list. I guess it would depend on how much you eat...I eat bacon almost every day and I haven't had an issues. Except for when I run out LOL6 -
@trish55011 - you don't have to have absolutely 0 sugar unless there is an outstanding reason for it. I just go for the lowest sugar bacon I can find. Ironically, if you're not worried as much about nitrites/nitrates, the cheapest stuff, like crazy cheap stuff, doesn't have as much where I am.3

I buy my bacon at the butcher. Same price as in the shops but it tastes so much better.1
