Endo Visit, Refuses to do LDL-P

This is why I don't want to go to the doctor here for blood tests. Because he's too much of an *kitten* and he's the only one here. Not to mention his outdated medical knowledge. The guy's like, 70.
I'll just self diagnose and blunder on. If I die, well, I died eating bacon and eggs.2 -
@Shadowmf023 : Hey, nothing wrong with being 70. It's being any age and being narrow-minded.5

There are some studies referenced in these articles, but I'm not able to read the studies atm or do more than scroll through the articles...maybe you'll have better luck.
Thanks for the resources! Very kind of you.

@Aquawave - any updates in this area?0

I'm no @Aquawave, but...
I did listen to a couple podcasts in the last month or so that gave me pause about statins - one was on the DietaryDogma YT channel and involved possible silent muscle damage.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-_l_IxLDsw
The other was on High Intensity Health (also YT) where a guest warned about the need to maintain muscle tissue during the aging process.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7NnXeNPZsU
Putting 1 and 1 together added up to some distressing prime number, so I resolved to dig back into the damn Statin Question all over again.

I also came across an article (you'd think I would at least have bookmarked it, duh) and it noted that over time, statins damage liver cells and thus the liver makes less cholesterol. I can't be more specific though since I didn't mark it.1

You guys can believe what you want from whichever rogue medical professional/naturopath/expert opinion you please. Just keep in mind there is no benefit in treating to target LDL-C & your physician is making his/her decision based on benefits being greater than the risks of therapy in lowering mortality from major cardiovascular events & reducing vessel inflammation.0

No updates, my next diabetes appointment is in February. Our insurance is changing from PPO to Consumer Directed Health Plan (means more money out of my pocket) so my diabetes care will be managed by my primary care physician and I will not be seeing my endocrinologist anymore. But, thankfully my sugars, pre and postprandial, have been averaging 98 for the last few months. I have to say that LCHF has been successful with controlling my glucose. I will ask my PCP if he will order the LDL-P in February. If he will not, I am not going to pay for a lipid profile since I have no intentions of taking a statin anyway. I have found no treatment for a high LDL-P count.2

Thanks, read the K2 connection in regard to osteoporosis and have ordered K2 from Amazon.
Very interesting articles.

All up-to-date-research is by 'rogue' scientists. Otherwise it would be status quo, no?2
