I have hypothyroidism that does not feel under control with my medication and no help from my Dr. I have read a lot about low carb high fat diets helping with symptoms, so feeling desperate hear I am. I have just started the change and I am finding it terribly difficult to feel full yet I have lost my appetite, I can't even get 1000 calories in me. I am enjoying learning the Adkins way but I don't want to become malnourished at the same time. I have mfp set to 60 carbs that dropped my calorie goal to 960 where it was at 1200, yet eating foods low car b I'm barely getting 800 calories a day???

You can up your calories by adding more calorie dense foods such as olive oil, coconut oil, butter, mayo. I had the same issue starting out but after adding things like those I had no problem hitting my calorie goal. Take a look at my food diary. I had 2 tbs of coconut oil in my coffee and that's 240 calories in itself!

Low carb is also high fat and moderate protein.
Start your mornings out with some eggs cooked in butter and some bacon or sausage.
Don't use any low fat foods or dairy and skip highly inflammatory vegetable and seed oils and instead opt for butter, coconut oil, olive oil and fatty cuts of meat. Or at least add butter, cream or cheese sauces to lean meats.
You'll get more calories, more nutrition and feel satisfied in a way unlike you've ever known before.
Take a look through our launch pad. Lots of great learning there.
You need to understand your body's increased NEED for sodium as well. You lose sodium and it MUST be REPLACED.
