Blood ketone meters - does anyone have recs?

My insurance now covers blood ketone test strips (no idea how many) and a blood ketone/glucose meter every 3 years. Does anyone have experience with home blood ketone testing? I'd like to get moving on this before the benefit disappears...
How about the Ketonix breath ketone tester?
Thanks for any insights!

I got a Nova Max glucose and ketone meter free from their website. It came with a few strips (maybe 5) to start.

Any thoughts on that model? I'm guessing your in such a smooth groove that you really don't need to test.....
Thx!

I have the Precision Xtra, I like it very well and it is one of the most recommended ones among blood ketone meters, but I have never used any other so have nothing else to compare it against. I have to pay cash for the strips and they're flipping ridiculously expensive (even open box on eBay)1

Precision Xtra, but I don't have experience with anything else either. It seems fairly accurate, but like @Phrick said, the price for strips is outrageous. I never use it, but if you really really want to be sure you are in ketosis, it is going to be much more accurate than urine strips.
ETA: Even the co-pays may be expensive. I get them since I'm a type 1 diabetic, but they limit me to 5 test strips per month (if I'm in DKA, that isn't enough anyway because I would need to test often until no longer in DKA - but that wouldn't concern you).1 -
I used it every now and then in the beginning and I pretty much tested the same all the time so I didn't buy more strips.
I tried to get a rx for my daughter but her Endo said there was no need and refused.
So I just learned how to boost ketones and now that I'm 90% carnivore, I rarely eat more than 10g any day so I don't even think about it anymore.
I did find the info very interesting at that time since I was learning. They do have value0
