Would this be 14g minus 5g fiber minus 5g sugar alcohols for a net carb total of 4g?

For some people yes, for others no. Depends how sugar alcohols affect you. I subtract them but others do not.

This just happened... I can't find Halo Top. It was pretty good, though 8g carbs is pretty steep for a treat that's not a Green and Blacks... :D

For this product, yes, subtract the SA. erythritol gas a GI of 0 and is excreted from the body, so it is one that is truly "no calorie". Always read what sweetner is used, Many do have a GI and are metabolized as carbs.

Great point. (Some of those nasty SAs don't stick around very long - Sorbitol, Mannitol :s - but they probably leave carbs behind.)

Do you have a list of common responses to SAs? That would be a handy thing to have.

    Thx!

    Thanks, @silverfiend.

This chart is a good quick reference. (I'd add Sorbitol to the laxatives list.)
