Hi, everyone!

I have been on the Alternate Day Diet for about two and a half months. I lost about ten pounds, went on vacation and got sidetracked. I am now home and am starting in again in earnest. I am so happy to have learned of this method, which, to me, is more a lifestyle change than a diet.

Once the chemistry kicks in, it almost feels like magic because the pounds just melt off... But instead of magic, the method is actually hard-boiled common sense: simply put, weight is lost because I eat less every other day and it adds up. It makes so much sense, plus, it tricks my brain! On low-cal days, when I think "grrr," I re-route my thinking to "just think...tomorrow is a new day and full-cal day." And the low-cal day suddenly gets easy. And I fully enjoy and appreciate my full-cal day, so the next day doesn't seem like too great a sacrifice. Then the cycle continues...

A friend told me about this method. She has lost over 40 pounds doing it. So between her experience and my own, I know it works. If I perservere and do the hard work, I will attain my goals. To do that, I need a support system in place and to be able to talk when needed.

I am very glad to have found this group and look forward to being part of it! And look forward to supporting as well as receiving support!
