Snack and Meal Ideas for Traveling

Hi all! I have a few small weekend trips coming up this month. What are your favorite higher protein snacks/meals while on the road? Also, I will be doing a 7 hour guided fishing trip. What are some foods that would be okay cold/outdoors without regulating temps? I won't have access to a restroom on the boat, so I'm going to limit my water intake that one day.

Okay, that sounds amazing! What fun!!!
You can buy protein shakes like was premade. Also, protein bars. I like the quest bars because they have lots of fiber. There are also bars with 40 grams of protein. I also like beef jerky.
Bars and shakes do not give me the same full and satisfied feeling, so maybe bring along some fat for satiety. Nuts, peanut butter, etc.
If you can bring a little cooler you can bring cooked chicken breasts (I think they are good cold), hard boiled eggs, string cheese.1 -
Beef and turkey jerk work for me. I'm usually cautious with the amount of sodium and I'm a bit picky on the flavor, but the add a nice protn boost when you crave a salty snack. I also second the Quest bars, string cheese and nuts. Carrots, grapes and other fruits are also great add-ons for your cooler.

I take a homemade protein shake so that it balances the macros of all the tasty carb things I might eat
Also nuts, seeds, hemp bars, protein bars, chips made from quinoa, peas, etc. nut butters, rice cakes and humous.
