1/2 cup sugar
1⁄2 cup water
1⁄4 cup lime juice
3 cups watermelon
1 cup lemonade kombucha
Cook the sugar, water and lime juice together, stirring occasionally until the sugar is dissolved.
Remove from heat and chill.
Cut up the watermelon and remove all seeds. (I used seedless watermelon that I had previously chopped and frozen.)
Puree in a blender or food processor with the sugar syrup and kombucha.
Freeze in an ice-cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Pack into an airtight container and store in the freezer.
If you start with frozen watermelon, you'll have a lovely slush coming right out of the blender that you don't even have to put through the ice cream maker.
Best part of this: 55 calories per serving.
