Hi LC Ladies,

So I recently started doing more fitness and some jogging and well MY "girls" need major support. I am pretty endowed so any rigorous movement is actually painful  Anybody have suggestions for a very supportive sports bra that will hold these puppies down. Thank you!

Someone posted a link to the Booband recently, it looks pretty awesome.

I stick with low impact activities right now - hillwalking instead of jogging to get mybheart rate up, but when my knees get stronger and I want to get into more high impact exercise, I'm definitely trying it out!

I LOVE my Enell bra. It's the only sports bra I've ever owned that did not require a second bra with it to do its job! It is pricey, but worth it! ($50-$75 depending on where you buy it).

If you have a specialty bra shop near you, it's good to go and try them on. According to their sizing, I should have been wearing a size 4, but the size 3 fit better. I was a 38J (US) at the time. I *just* bought a size 2, because I've lost about 44 lbs, but since that bra is so expensive, I haven't also bought new regular bras, so I don't know what my new size is

I bought a sports bra before I started hitting the gym last month. I'm currently a 34F and heard horror stories about stretching breast muscles that will never go back!

A good sports bra I because it must have two chambers - one for each breast and must be sized like a proper bra (waist band and cup) and not in small/medium/large etc.

It gives me crap shape and they still move but the only go slighty up and down by comparison to a wave effect in a normal bra! I got mine at asda (UK version of Walmart) but M&S do a good range D+ and Sports Direct do a good range up to a D if that helps.

For those of us in UK there is a company called Less Bounce. They specialise in sports bras. Look for them online. I think they have a few shops too but not sure where.

second Panache, only thing that worked for me when I was in a 38H. Panache 5052 is the model, around $68, i buy them on Amazon and sometimes get them cheaper. Even now that I've lost most of my boobage I still prefer the Panache.

I'm DD+ and I have had really good luck with a few of the Under Armour styles. I just went onto their site though to provide a direct link to one that I refer to as the ultimate harness.... and they don't even list 'high impact" bras anymore!? I did find this on the Sport Chek site and it is very very similar: https://www.sportchek.ca/categories/women/apparel/tops/bra-tops/product/under-armour-armour-high-womens-dd-bra-331907549.html

I'm a 46I, and I have the Goddess Synergy Maximum Control Wire-Free Sports Bra. It seems to do its job...unfortunately, it was the ONLY sports bra that I could find in my size. >.> I hate that I can't shop in local stores for bras.

Tip for putting it on - do up the bottom four clasps or so above the girls, pull the girls into place, and then do up the rest. I read that somewhere before I got mine, and it was tremendously helpful.

Got my Ennel sports bra and I <3 it! Ok it's not going to win any fashion awards, looks like a cross between a 50's bra and a s&m bondage lol BUT it's extremely effective in holding the girls where the need to be when exercising. Very comfortable and loved that during Zumba they didn't when budge so I wasn't so self conscious about the bajungas lol Anyhoo, I give it a 9/10, my only dislike is all the hooks takes awhile to put it on lol

Yay!!!! I'm so glad you like it. Yeah, it's definitely not a cute bra (I like to think of it as the world's largest sports bra, no matter your size!), but it definitely does its job

I deal with this too. I will be checking out Enell. I found that running on my rebounder helps. I find this lower impact, less bounce.
  • If you want to try another one...

Hands down, my favorite one made by Wacoal... they sell it online as well as many major department stores (e.g., Nordstrom, Macy's, Dillard's). My favorite is the Sport Underwire Bra... I know, I know it sounds uncomfortable but it is actually extremely comfortable as the fabric behind the underwires is a single piece so the underwires lay on top of it so you can get the best fit. I used to wear this almost everyday while breastfeeding a few years ago as it provided so much support when just moving/walking around was painful... so obviously it works well for me now for exercise.
