Fruit!

In the past during my weightloss sucess's - I have turned to fruit as my easy convenient snack thats sweet and satisfying and not going to make me pile on the kilos! It keeps me away from the other convenient foods that are terrible for me.

I truely love keto.. but i keep longing for fruit.

I can easily stay between 60 - 100g of carbs per day whilst including my fruit ..

Is anyone else finding it hard to stay away from natures lollies?

Do you think a steady weightloss is still achievable with this level of carbs/ day?

I think if you are going to eat a significant amount of fruit then you may want to look at another plan rather than keto. I'd be concerned that the higher level of carbs from the fruit combined with the high fat of a ketogenic diet could slow your progress.

It's not something I've done a lot of reading on though. Maybe look at programs like South Beach or Primal? I think Primal promotes carbs up to 100g, but again, not an area I've looked at much.

Fruit isn't something that I eat everyday but I can incorporate low glycemic fruits sporadically. I stick to berries and green apples- blackberries are relatively low net carb and apples contain pectin which helps with blood sugar control. Like Kira said though- be mindful of carbs combined with high fat because certain ratios are ideal for fat storage.

Diet cranberry juice is as close as I'll get to fruit... 1 cup = 1~2g of carbs.

Rasberries lemons and limes are all low carb friendly. Blackberries can be, IF you only eat a few.

I've found this to be helpful in a pinch (AKA I was trying to figure out if I could have any of the fruit at family brunch)
