Ketones and Bladder Infections

I once tried Southbeach diet and my ketones got really high and I got a bladder infection that was so painful I thought it was appendicitis so I went to the emergency room to find out it was actually a bladder infection. A really bad one. Then, while on OMAD this last time, same thing. Ketones got really high and I thought I was having issues with my insides and went to the emergency room and it was a bladder infection. I'm afraid it will happen again. Any advice on how to keep my ketones down???

Wow. Never heard that. May be a genetic thing, a propensity for infection--I have heard of many women suffering bladder infections. My advice: Don't low-carb. Try a starch-based approach.1
