Lost Eight Pounds in Five Days

I'm an old friend to some of you, I lost a lot of weight with LCHF for about a year, and then gained back about twenty pounds total the past four or five months. I had two surgeries this summer and was immobile and in a LOT of pain for most of the summer. In fact, I feel like I missed the entire season. But that's all the bad news.
The good news is that I'm mostly off the pain meds (except at night), I'm totally done with the nausea that's plagued me all summer, and I've been LCHF for five days now. Benefits in just this short time: my blood sugar numbers are around 100-150 lower all day, my racing pulse (was 130, I think due to pain) is in the 80s, and I've lost 8 pounds so far. I've done this before, so I know a lot of that is water weight, but I also know with carbs around 30g, I lose a pound or two a week when not exercising - and due to these surgeries I'm hoping I can exercise pain free now.
Happy, happy, happy! I'm also looking for new friends cause I love to read diaries for meal ideas.

Welcome back! You can friend me if you like. I'm moderately active here. I don't visit the forums that often though.0

Welcome back! I hope you continue to heal without any difficulties! Congratulations on your awesome first week back!
As one who had a recent surgery I believe LCHF helps with healing (despite recent "setbacks")!0 -
Thanks all. I'm committed. Had a horrible time taking daughter for freshman year of college on the other side of the US. I need to get healthy so I can actually ENJOY a week of "vacation".1
