For the readers and the GOADs that have been successful on maintaining their weight loss. Did anybody ever read "The Beck Diet Book: How to think like a thin person."? It was just suggested to me to read it and try the program. I read up to Day One so far. I see how it can help since my DS has used the premise behind the techniques with other issues.

Have you read it?
Have you used the techniques described in it?
Was it a help in time of trouble?

Thanks for your responses in advance.
Mark

I have it. I have read a couple of chapters. Unfortunately, events took place, and I did not follow through with the effort. It is on my list.

I started it this past winter, but had to set it aside. It is on my list to pick up and start again later this fall once I am inside more.

(Yes! I can edit my reply after posting too soon!)

I had heard good things about the book and wanted to see for myself.

I found a recommendation for it years ago on the WW message boards. I read it and did the exercises. It really helped me a lot to change the way I think and act around food. I still use many of the techniques. I think I need to do a re-run of it because I've been getting a little sloppy with overeating.
