If you have a Fresh Thyme market near you (list of stores in the midwest here), they're offering Raw Rev GLO bars for $.88 this week (possibly a typo in their ad - but the photo clearly shows Raw Rev GLO bars, not the regular Raw Revolution carb bomb).

The PB and sea salt bars are very low in net carbs and taste better - and much less sweet - than the ones from Quest.

My Fresh Thyme (southern suburbs of Minneapolis/St Paul) had them for $.99-normally $1.79. Stocked up big time! Thanks @RalfLott for the recommendation for these bars!

Thanks for the reminder....I have been meaning to get there forever! I want to check it out, everything seems so reasonably priced!

As far as I know, the chain was funded with money from Meijer, but it's not a Meijer company (for example, there's no union.. but folks who work there seem to like their work). It's not as cheap as Aldi, of course, but prices are generally better than Whole Foods. New weekly sales start on Wednesdays (sometimes busy, but a good time to go, as the expiring sales prices are still valid) and are definitely worth keeping an eye on!

For anyone who likes protein smoothies rather than bars: The only truly non-flavored protein powder I've been able to find is GNC's Wheybolic Extreme 60 Original "Naturally Unflavored." It dissolves easily and tastes like nothing, which is what I want. I have a shelf full of flavoring agents of my own so I can vary the taste as desired. Blended with almond milk and frozen spinach (or frozen fruit if there's room in the day's carb count) it's very filling and frequently stands in for an entire meal.

One scoop: 2GR carbs, 20GR protein.

Wait for one of GNC's buy-one-get-one-half-price events, which seems to occur just about every other month.

FYI, Wheybolic is the highest-rated of GNC's products listed in Labdoor's ranking of protein supplements.

Deal alert for Raw Rav GLO bars - According to the assistant manager at the nearest Fresh Thyme, the sales price will be honored for rain checks if the store is out when you get there AND - get this - you can also place a bulk order (in boxes, limit may vary) at the sales price!

That store normally stocks RRG PB and Sea Salt, which is the lowest net carb of the 3 varieties they carry.

Honestly, just find a really good powder. Much lower carbs, very lean, and usually much more delicious and filling (due to the weight of the water) than bars. Example for me: Chocolate Caramel MyProtein, 3g fat, 2g carbs, 38g protein, but that's two scoops, which can make you about 20 ounces of shake.

hi, where do you buy your powder at?

As mentioned earlier in the thread, myprotein.com

Glad to see Isopure Zero Carb and Dymatize Iso100 are in the top 3 for sugar free proteins. Both are my fave!!
