I wanted to say thank you for opening the door!
I've spent the last couple of days reading through so much information in the Launch Pad. It's fantastic!
I'm not sure what I am doing yet but I do appreciate the opportunity to learn. Some of it is a little scary. I think because I've had the "don't eat fat" beat into my head for years it's hard to get "unconditioned" from that. I do love my protein though!
I don't know that I can do the full keto plan. The info in that section was scary to me too. Not because I think it's bad or anything but because it's new territory and the hair falling out bit was a scary part. I already have problems with that and have since I had kids almost 30 years ago. I don't need more LOL.
But I do believe I will be cutting back my carbs a fair amount. I've learned a lot about my body over the last month on what keeps me satisfied and what doesn't.
Anyway I just wanted to say hello and thank you for your information!

Welcome.
Only some of us are keto'ers. low carb is basically under 150g of carbs per day but that is flexible too. We had low carbers at 200+g per day who time their carbs around a lot of exercise, and others who focus more on slow carb and end up with low carb health benefits. I'm sure you'll find your sweet spot of carbing.
And yay to our moderators who made such a thoughtful and useful launch pad!!!3 -

Welcome! Low carb is a wide range of 150 gm, or less, each day. Each of us finds the level that works for us. No one HAS to be Keto to succeed in reaching their health/weight loss goals. So glad you're here!0

Thanks everyone! And who knows ... I just may end up there. I may not. But I'm loving the support and information.
Working on adjusting my macros a bit. I have them set to 40c/30p/30f right now. I will give that a week and see how it all makes me feel. Feeling well, good health and what's right for me and my body. That's the end result I'm looking for. I will get there!3 -
