Biopsy results in Ontario

Some of you have seen my status updates, others know my story with my pancreas problems. I got a call from the hospital that I am going for an endoscopic ultrasound biopsy on my pancreas tomorrow. I had no idea there was a need for a biopsy. I'm kinda hoping this is just normal procedure before my pancreas surgery.
Has anyone here had a biopsy of any kind? How long did it take to get the results?
Thanks for listening.

I can imagine how that would make you feel anxious. I have no experience with that at all. I do know that they biopsy all sorts of things for all sorts of reasons. They probably just want to find out the state of your pancreas as far as damage...they do kidney biopsies when people have CKD to see what the extent of the damage is. Might be similar!
All the best for tomorrow!!!! Hope it's goes easy for you!!!!!

You are certainly in my thoughts and prayers!
Saw that your biopsy was 2 days ago. You are probably still waiting for results. For me sometimes waiting can SEEM like forever. It is so difficult to do at times like this. When I am waiting for such a big thing, I try to remember that if I ruin today by worrying about what will come tomorrow there will be two results...1) if it is bad news I will be in a warn out state of mind - not a good place for making decisions and 2) if it is good news then the preoccupation with what will be was useless and I would have missed the blessings and joy that could have been mine on those days.
Hope this helps - if it doesn't, just ignore it and please forgive me.
Let us know how you are!
Many, many blessings!

Thanks so much. It does help. I used to be pretty good at letting things go. I used to go to a gamblers group and the leader told me to pick a chair as a 'worry chair' and for twenty minutes a day I can worry about whatever has me worked up. It did work for the longest time.
After the procedure, the doctor told me there were no clear tumours, but they did take some samples from my pancreas. The results take two business days.
So, worrying is over. What will be will be.0
