Am I still in ketosis, or am I still about to exit ketosis?

Good morning all,
I've been on a strict ketogenic diet for around nine weeks now with some good results.
Last night I had a couple of shots of scotch and decided that it was time to order a pizza (notice the bad scotch:decision making ratio here). I ordered and had a couple of slices of a small pizza and a few fries fully expecting to be out of ketosis. Well, this morning I "peed dark purple", so I'm curious: am I really still in ketosis, or am I about to exit ketosis and my body is just still eliminating any remaining ketones?
By-the-way, I think I'm become used to eating "ketogenically" because the pizza and fries weren't as delicious as I thought they would be -- even though I ordered from a really good, local mom-and-pop pizza place.
Thanks!

You already went through those carbs. You probably would've tested with no ketones last night but now you're back to normal. Don't stress over it. If you've been at it a while your body can easily dip in and out of using ketones as needed. It's supposed to be able to do that.
If you decide to eat carbs like that, it's only a temporary thing to go back to burning sugar. You'll deal with any other consequences that it may have for you but affect in ketosis is very brief.1 -
You don't have your diary open, so I can't tell exactly how many carbs you had, however, it seems unlikely that one moderate carb meal would throw you out of ketosis for any significant period of time.0

Well, that's great news from both of you! Thanks!
It was a good lesson for me: carbs don't taste as great as they used to and so I won't feel "deprived" by not having them in the future.
Cheers!3
