Wow! What a month everyone's been having! I had my headaches until Wed, when I felt so good. Then I was visiting my family in SoCal and I was OK, only it was so hot down there. Sun I was feeling a bit unwell, then Mon and yesterday I felt awful again, with a dull, persistent headache. Today I feel almost normal, so I'm going on a good walk after posting this. It's sunny today, but we're expecting wind and rain starting tonight and through the rest of the week pretty much. Man, I can't believe how good I feel! I am still on my elimination diet and haven't had any coffee or chocolate for over a week. I also started using the progesterone cream and herbal supplements. Hopefully, all this will help keep the headaches at bay.

@1skholloway -- Amazing loss! I am so happy for you (and a little jealous XD)!

Maybe your headaches are going away now because you are getting used to not having sugar. Congrats on feeling good.

My asthma has kicked in this week which means anything to strenuous closes my chest. Really frustrating since I only started with asthma last year. Taking my pump twice a day as instructed and going easy for a few days hoping I can get it under control and go back to training hard!

@NewOR2015 -- Thanks. That's a good point re: no sugar.

@CaptainBoing -- :-( Hope your asthma gets under control soon.

OMG I hate Bonds there is like a thousand steps and if you miss one little thing you can't proceed on and you have to go back and see what you missed. So far out of all the new people I have been the person who has gotten all of them. Well at least I have had practice especially as it's almost time to go off to the other locations. I mentioned to Cathy how much I dread doing them and she is like we can fix almost anything you do wrong. UGH!!! That's the whole thing after I do one every time Cathy comes up I think OMG here it comes I did something wrong with that bond.

It's raining cold and miserable here today.
Now I'm thinking soup would be nice but as I ate soup the other day and my weight jumped 3 lbs over night now I have to say Hmmm... do I really want soup?

I'm feeling pretty cranky this morning as yesterday was very nice out and my husband spent the day at his fathers house painting. The man has been dead for 7 years his sister hasn't gotten her rear in gear to finish anything and we have to maintain the house. so instead of our lawn getting done or our gutters getting cleaned he's camped out over there. I'm going straight to hell for how bitter and resentful I feel. I think we have been taking care of the house for 15 years and every year I just get more resentful. Every time my husband gets on a ladder over there it makes me mad. Now I know his one brother can't do anything he is on a wait list for a double kidney transplant and the other brother lives out of state. But he's got a brother not 5 miles from us who doesn't work who just whines all the time and his sister well she has a bad back. Then get things done and sell the place. thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

Have a great day every one hopefully my new raincoat gets here soon.

@CaptainBoing I'm so sorry you're asthma kicked in. I developed it around the age of 25. After years of being stubborn, I learned I have to use my inhaler twice a day year round. I keep a rescue inhaler with me at all times but I now seldom use it. It was hard to accept that I have to use the inhaler all the time and take oral meds as well but I look at it like diabetes.

Oh @JanolaBarbara, that stinks! Feeling bad is so draining. I hope you feel better very soon! By the way, don't be jealous. You look fabulous in your photo. I doubt you have or ever had that much to lose. It was fun eating my way to 250 pounds but not so much losing the weight. I do like most of the results though!

I have a quirky sense of humor and I suppose with my history of chronic depression, I found the following funny. Yesterday, I stepped on the scales and to my surprise had lost almost 2 pounds over night. This loss put me within 3 pounds of the very top weight in the range the BMI chart considers "normal" for my height. I don't put much stock in this chart but I guess I put more stock in it than I would like. At any rate, I thought "I'm three pounds from normal." Ha!! If only!!!! Anyway, if I reach that weight, good for me. If I don't I'm okay with that too. I doubt I have ever been in the normal range on the BMI chart at any point in my life. It would be nice to be there for at least 5 minutes.

Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement. I appreciate all of you.

@1skholloway I think this whole group has a quirky sense of humor thus how we get along. LOL
Ok I really wasn't paying attention when I bought my pants for work as half of them don't have pockets. Thus half the planning as I make sure I'm wearing pocket pants on the busy days so I can throw the keys to my drawer in my pocket. Why would they make such things? i could care less if my yoga pants have pockets but I need pockets for work. i will have to remember for the future to look and see if there are pockets and not say yep these fit and do the mad dash.
I got up and exercised this morning so one thing down now just to get my rear in gear and ready for work.
    Have a great day everyone!!!

@2020pinktogo I have been dealing with this for years. I hate trying on clothes so much that when I actually do go buy clothes that last thing I am thinking of is to check for pockets so I am constantly frustrated. What's weird....my yoga pants have freaking pockets!!!!

@1skholloway I have been saying for a long time that once I am finally simply "overweight" I'm having an "At least I'm not morbidly obsese anymore" party. Think Great American Cookie company would put that on a cookie cake? (any wonder why I'm still in the obese category????)mmmmmm cookies

@Blitzbis I feel ya! I wore size 10 pants yesterday! Today I could have binged so easily on just about anything. I kept telling myself I couldn't binge and continue to wear a size 10. We don't need cookies because at least we're not morbidly obese anymore!

Well, I felt pretty good for most of today, so that's 2 days of feeling better in a row. I hope it's a streak of wellness! To celebrate, I did some housework, laundry, and my calisthenics (which I haven't done is weeks!). It actually felt good to workout again. I have been going on short walks with my husband, but for weeks I've had to cut them short, I felt so bad. But the last few days I felt well enough to do our usual route. We went out for Ethiopian for dinner tonight, and I actually STOPPED EATING WHEN I WAS FULL. This is such a huge NSV for me. I was eyeing the remaining food and thinking how in the past I would've kept eating because the food was there and it was very tasty. I ate a bit more than I had planned, but at least I didn't keep on shoveling it in!

We are gearing up for the second of the big storms that are coming through the PNW. Tomorrow the big one is supposed to pass through. We've got wood for the fireplace, propane for the camping stove, and plenty of emergency food and water. Part of me hopes we lose power for a day, but I don't want to be without it for a week!

@1skholloway -- Congrats on being able to wear size 10 pants!! Ha-ha, being so close to normal! Gee, I wonder how that feels?? XD Thanks for the compliment. I do try to keep a good body image.

@2020pinktogo -- Yeah, my husband does not understand why 1) so much women's clothing do not have pockets and 2)why would I buy pants or skirts without pockets. Like you and @blitzbis , sometimes I forget to check. Sometimes I just like wearing cute clothes. Also, sometimes we are burdened with being the only ones or only responsible ones in the family. It does suck and is frustrating.

@blitzbis -- Haha! Your cookie cake! I'd love to celebrate with you at your "Now I'm Only Overweight" party. XD We're supposed to celebrate each milestone, right???

When I get clothes without pockets I use my runners belt for keys, phone or whatever. It fits snugly around my waist and expands as you put things in it, so if you just put a key in, you wouldn't notice it at all!

I run to my trainer these days because it is near work thanks to students protesting. I need to pick my office and take my employee tag to get in and out of the complex. I also take tissues and now my asthma pump. My training clothes have no pockets (I am not allowed zips when I train on the Jui Jitsu mats) so the belt comes in handy.

Hmm... I will have to see If that would work. it's a little key on a little fob . There's times it gets lost in my pocket. but first of the month and thurs and fridays need pockets. I don't think guys understand how you might go in with 12-20 pairs of pants and come out with 2 pairs and if they fit you are like ok let's go. I'd hate to think how much time I have spent searching for the pants I have and think I would have said no as they have no pockets.

My daughter offered to take me to the outlet mall today but we would have to be back early as she has a doing to go to yada yada..... I said we can go on veterans day I will have off which is also her b-day. She goes sounds like a plan. Ok years ago I use to take her to get her baby shoes there use to be like 10/15 stores. She sent me the directory there's like a 100. I'm going to make a list of stuff to look for. LOL I'm freezing at work knee socks comes to mind lol do they still make them.

I have a runner's belt and I have thought of wearing it under work clothes when I don't have pockets. I like my runner's belt a lot! I happened to have found it for $5 in the dollar bin section at Target. I didn't like the color but knew I would wear it under my clothes so the color didn't matter much.

They do still make knee socks and wear them daily. I keep thick black socks that you can wear around the house the house without shoes or sleep in at desk to wear when I get really cold. Since I run my heater all the time, I don't usually have to wear those. I do have to wear a jacket even though I run my heater. I wear camisoles or tank tops under blouses for modesty purposes and that helps with warmth a little. Long underwear is always an option too.

The problem with wear I live is that it's still warm outside so I need to dress in layers or change when I leave work. I get cold at church too. I guess it's places where I have to sit still for long periods. If I went to any type of entertainment where I had to sit for a long time I would probably be cold.

Ok, this is a good problem to have I suppose but I have no padding on my behind anymore and it hurts to sit on my sofa or lounge on my memory foam mattress for very long. I guess that should be motivation to get up and move. Thankfully my desk chair at work is very comfortable.

@JanolaBarbara I'm so glad you are feeling better! Congratulations on your NSV of stopping eating when you were full! I don't know that I would do it. I hope y'all are safe during the storm.

I gotta get up and get moving. Yep, I've been sitting on the sofa too long.

I think I will put camisoles on the list too. I will need them in spring and I can use them for layering now.

@1skholloway I skimmed through your BMI link. Interesting. BMI is just a number. Good health depends on many factors and varies from individual to individual. I wonder if someday research will show that I am perfect just the way I am. :) I wish.

I have a Tube Waistband that I wear when I'm going on my long walks and a few times I've worn it with skirts so that I could have pockets. I find it very useful and fairly comfy. Really good when I'm wearing yoga pants and need to have pockets.

After reading research presented in an article on Prevention's website, I changed up my macros to try to gain muscle and lose more fat as of yesterday. Now my diet is composed of 40% carbs, 30% protein, and 30% fats (mainly unsaturated). I realize this could cause weight gain and I am okay with that if I lose some body fat. Right now I don't have time to devote to lifting more weights but maybe the change in diet will help. I do lift weights twice a week. Even though my schedule is very busy right now, I do want to continue to lift weights twice a week. Starting in January I will be able to lift weights more often. I also ordered some soy protein powder. I had been interested in trying some. Since I increased my protein intake, I have to find a way to get more protein easily. I would have preferred whey protein powder but I can't handle dairy products yet after having c diff. Some of the whey protein powders said they were good for people who were lactose intolerant but I was hesitant to try them. Hopefully I will be able to eat dairy products again in a couple of months. I will see if this experiment works for me.

There's nothing like having to read on a relative's facebook post that your independent parents are going out of town for a few days and didn't bother to tell you. :/ I know they don't need my approval but it would have been nice to have been told. My parents are 76 and 78. They are traveling about 5 hours to be with my dad's sister while she has cataract surgery. She has glaucoma which could cause complications. She is very concerned about it. She has a friend who was supposed to take her to the surgery. Dad got concerned about his sister so he decided they needed to go for the surgery. Depending on the outcome of the surgery Mom may stay at least a week. My aunt lives about 50 miles outside of Memphis in the country. She is pretty isolated. Her children are unable to help. My aunt's husband has Alzheimer's pretty bad so she put him in the nursing home last week. I'm glad my parents are able and willing to go. My aunt will be glad to have them there. I just wish they would have told me so I could worry about them. :p Actually, I don't worry about them when they visit my aunt. It's just nice to know where my parents are.

Last week my parents drove to Dallas, another 5 hour drive to be with a friend who had a more serious surgery. They didn't leave to come home until 6 pm. They are very independent and stubborn. Dad's not as alert and clear headed as he used to be and I get concerned when they travel in unfamiliar places or at night. I'm the youngest of 4 kids and the one who lives the closest to them. I guess what I am experiencing is similar to what it's like to having kids, huh?! :D

So this morning I was having a really rough time getting up and then I said to myself just get up and exercise. Yesterday was just a day from hell. It was the last day to pay your taxes OMG really why wait and why would you pay cash. If it's over 3k I have to fill out paperwork and that's crazy just have a checking account put the money in it and write a check then your fine and I don't have to go through the hell and you don't have to wait forever while I fill out the paperwork. Then I had a guy with a check for 65k dollars. Well of course that needed a lot of paperwork too and guess when that arrived 5 min before we closed. He was depositing 50k but still It needed approval and all this crap. Thus why I really didn't want to get out of bed. but then I thought hey I worked here for 6 weeks and have had only one bad day that's not so bad. Today should be an easy day as everyone was there yesterday.

I can honestly say i do not care for the sit down booth I am in this week. It's hard to get use too. Everything is in a different spot. People are like do you have this and I'm like Hmmm... and I'm like let me see and I know where it is in the stand up booth but Have no clue where it is in the sit down booth. I'm sure by the end of the week I'll know where everything is but also the sitting thing is hard too.

@1skholloway I know what you mean about knowing what your parents are up too. The next few weeks my parents are with my sister and I try very hard to let her have them completely. But as I am use to calling her every night it feels odd not to ring her and say hey how was your day or what did you guys do today? But unless something comes up or shows up in the mail that needs her attention I will do my best not to call.

    Have a great day everyone.

Today, not only do I feel better, but more like myself. XD Finally! I don't know how long this will last, but I'm making the most of it. I'm knitting a few things for my Halloween costume, cleaning the house, being social, and exercising!! I've gained a lot of weight the last month. Hopefully, some of it will drop this week. If I do get a headache or stomach ache, it usually goes away in less than an hour instead of hanging on all day and into the night.

@1skholloway -- your parents are so nice, helping your aunt. I can understand how you feel, though. However, my parents don't go anywhere.

@2020pinktogo -- Yeah, sitting all day is hard. Be sure to stretch your hamstrings every once in a while. Do you have a step you can rest your feet on? That is supposed to help, and you can change your posture a bit.

So I rang my mom last night as a few things happened at the bank. One I now have 4 personal days already. It was something my mom was really worried about so I told her now and she was like oh good so if something comes up you can take care of it. I'm like Yep.The other thing was they asked me to switch to the other branch. I can walk to this branch the other branch is a 15 min. drive. I told them I wouldn't mind helping out but I really would like to make this one my home branch. they said it was fine I was hired for this location but they were offering. I think I was on the phone with her a total of 5 min. I kept it short and brief. Though I did find out my sister is doing the paleo diet. Oh man I am going to have to up my game I don't want to be the fat sister. LOL I guess she thought she was having a heart attack the other day and it scared her enough that she is changing her diet. I guess she has an ulcer too. My daughter had better be careful or she could be the next.

    Have a great day everyone.

@JanolaBarbara the chairs we have have these foot rest things the problem being I'm short so I'm at the edge of the chair always scooting the chair around to get to the desk then to the file drawer with our cash in it. Jackie is in my booth from last week and she is complaining as the chair I never used sinks down to ground level over there. Which I think is funny one minute I see her the next minute she is gone and she is huffing under her breath. She goes you are tiny you aren't even visible in the booth . I'm like nobody can be seen in booth 6 when they are sitting.

OMG I feel like a little kid. They asked Jackie if she would consider doing receptionist. She said yes and part of me was why didn't they ask me? Here is the deal it's a position I would never even want and would decline. Secondly Jackie talks non stop all day long and when it comes to her drawer she has had some issues but she is great with people. I'm telling you I worked too long where I had to be #1 I have to just relax and enjoy being a little cog. The people in the back keep asking me when I'm coming back to their dept's and honestly I keep thinking I really like what I am doing just do what I'm doing for a good year or so. then see what happens.

I was in the hospital for a few days this week. I finally have a diagnosis for what's been causing my stomach problems for 2 months - gastritis. The doctor made it sound like it would be easy to treat. Meanwhile the food I ate while there was unappealing. The clear liquid diet I had for the first few meals was as good or better than the bland diet I was on later on. When I was released today I made up for the lousy food. Back to my regular food tomorrow minus acidic food for two weeks.

@2020pinktogo I thought of an item you may want to add to your shopping list if you don't already have it - boots. Two pair I bought last year are too big now so I had to buy more. They help me to stay good and warm.

Well, after a week of finally feeling well, I felt bad today. Tummy ache and headache. I slept in until noon today. I did manage to go on a short walk with my husband and go grocery shopping. :-( I have a class in the morning and am planning on meeting some friends in the afternoon. I hope I feel well enough tomorrow!

@2020pinktogo -- Yeah, just take it easy and keep doing what you're doing. I'd probably feel the same way (re: them asking Jackie), even though I really don't want to do the other job! Guess it's human nature. XD I'm glad you're happy with your position. There's something to be said for being a cog. :-)

@1skholloway -- Gastritis! I hope it's something you can take care of with diet.
