EEEK A true scary story for October

I really only spend time in this group... I lurk.... A LOT  I just spent some time poking around the "regular" forum out of curiosity. Oh my, what a bunch of opinionated negative Nellie's! Why the LC hate? Not sustainable this, and not healthy that, won't work here and gain it all back there. I mean that is of course a risk with any diet (even the surgery) Many of them just regurgitate the food pyramid government guidelines spew. And while that may be great for some, why does that make LC bad??? Does no one do any research before giving their "this is the way it is" opinion?

Needless to say I came running and screaming back here like some chainsaw wielding maniac was after me. I love my little group and think I will hide from them under the covers in here with my new supportive and more informed friends

It doesn't bother me in there but they can get a bit snarky when replying to different ways of eating. I'm just doing low carb for now even though I think I might actually be moving to keto after some more study of it. Maybe I'll feel differently then because I'd be more of a *target* ... not sure that's the right word?

Anyway - I hear you. We all seek the same end goal. A healthier life right? So how person A gets there and person B gets there really shouldn't matter. As long as it's done in a healthy way we achieved the goal even if the path was different.

Lol. They'll all be here one day. The SAD is why we have an obesity/diabetic crisis.

They're prolly just mad cause they can't have fat OR sugar (or taste... richness... satiety). We've all been there. That's what's not sustainable.

I can't go there without getting immensely irritated.

Interesting is that it's fine for them to tell everyone LC is bad and badmouth us, but we get in trouble for doing it to them. Really fair MFP.

Beyond fairness, I've had serious concerns about many pieces of advice offered in the T2D group. Without frank, open discussion, it's hard to say what sort of impressions they might be leaving ....

While I understand what you're saying, we have to bite our tongues when it comes to venting about this stuff here.

We can literally get our group shut down over it.
    THAT WOULD SUCK!

I used to be very active on the general forums, now I mainly post here
It sucks to be singled out because of my "fad unsustainable diet"
One day, they will all be here, preaching to the choir.

Please DO read what Sunny_Bunny posted.

While it might seem natural, this isn't the place to vent about the main boards.

    Thanks for your understanding.
