Well, I had it in my head that I was going to fast today. Most mornings I wake up ravenous. Today, I woke up and thought I could skip my shake. So, I did. I also got in a thousand steps before I even left the house for work. I also left my lunch at home. Probably will eat at 6:30 or 7:00 tonight because we have parent conferences after school. That will be a 24 hour fast.

Good or bad, or what?

Thanks.

It's an "or what" for me and probably for you. Neither good nor bad. A day won't hurt you. Might give your "systems" a rest.

Well it won't hurt you, plenty of religions do fasts. It will give your body a small break from digestion. Remember to still drink water, black coffee or tea.

Well, it is 12:10 pm. My lunch time, and all I have had is water today. Still going strong. Wonder if this will help at all with the 1.5 pounds I need to shed by weigh-in tomorrow. Either way, I can't believe that I haven't eaten for the last 16-17 hours.

I do IF so fast between 8pm to 12 pm, but I frequently fast on Monday's because after the weekend I am simply not hungry. If you are genuinely not hungry, I don't see why you should not do a fast, just stay hydrated and if you feel lightheaded stop and get something to eat or drink.

I think fasting is a great tool to use when trying to lose weight and/or reverse insulin resistance.
    Very empowering too!

@collegefbfan Here's a page of science for you to show the fast will actually be good for you. And you should probably try it more often...

Well, I made it with no problem. Had chicken thighs for supper last night with a little asparagus and cauliflower. Scale was down to 230.6 this morning but that is totally nude and as soon as I got up. Don't think it will transfer at weigh-in because of clothes.
