So I'm closing in on my my three month Ketoversary! In these official three months:
1. My A1c has dropped to normal range!
2. My Fibromyalgia has gone to remission and I'm off all my pain killers and meds.
3. Last check I'm down about five inches from my hips
4. I'm walking daily! And looking forward to it too!
5. I've become educated on how my body works.
6. I've lost as of today 24.4 lbs!!
This has me wondering where everyone else is on their travels?
How long have you been part of your LC tribe?
What are your milestones thus far??
Share with us and maybe I'll be brave enough to post my progress pictures this weekend!!

I am only a month in and still not sure that I am doing things right. But... down pounds (6) and inches (4.5) ! Had a 3 day stretch of feeling sick last week but making up for it by being extra hungry this week. I think the no alcohol is the biggest change that I have made. Trying hard to get rid of my bad habits and replace them with good ones!

I have PCOS and lose slooooow. However, I am feeling great. I started eating lower carb around the middle of Feb. and a few months ago started eating Keto. I have lost 32 pounds so far and a lot of inches. Some milestones:
*Went from a size 18 to a size 10 (sometimes an 8)
*My fibromyalgia is much better
*My cravings for high carb foods are completely gone
*My migraines are much less frequent8 -
Well today marks roughly 6 weeks. Dropped about 24 pounds. Goal is 12,000 steps a day. Still reading, learning, and researching. Blood pressure was down last time I checked it. Doctor appointment on November 22 to check panels and stuff. Really like the way I feel: no bloating, not being totally lazy after a meal, etc. Streaks I have reached: no soft drinks for 6 weeks, no bread, no pasta, no ice cream, no sweets, no potatoes. All in all, actually just being able to stick with it.3

October first was four months in. I've lost about twenty two pounds and a *kitten* load of inches. I feel better, and look better. Plus I get all of you guys as friends!7

I just passed my 4 month mark and have lost 17.5 pounds. I found this group a couple of months ago, and can't say enough about how helpful everyone is. One of my main concerns are my BG numbers. They were down quite a bit last month and my dr. changed my meds, and now not so good. (Still a work in progress.) I have absolutely zero carb cravings and find this WOE very easy to maintain and am not doing the crazy eating at night anymore. Clothing size dropped from a size 16 to 12 - woohoo!!!4

I love the recaps!
I'm going into my 18th month now.
*I lost between 25-30 pounds... it fluctuates, so I can't really pinpoint it.
*I went from a size 14 to a size 6 (some brands 4).
*I lost all the weight in the first 5 months and have teetered up and down 5 pounds since then, but continued getting smaller. Looking back to the first time I hit an average weight of under 140 pounds, I think I was wearing a size 8 and it was the end of summer going into fall. Now, my average weight is the same as then but I had to buy new clothes this past summer and the jeans from last fall are too loose, except the 6's I bought in winter that used to be tight.
*I feel all around better. More vibrant and just healthy overall.
*I've reduced my stimulant ADHD meds because I feel more mentally focused and energized.
*The IBS I have dealt with since I was a teenager is totally a non issue anymore as long as I keep fiber down, but even if I don't, it's still much better than it had ever been.
*I've learned so much about what's best for me and how to make it my lifestyle that I have zero fear of ever falling back into the old way.
*And I don't miss anything I used to eat because I love the foods that fit into this lifestyle and I know how to indulge when I want to without causing myself any harm.
*I have a confidence that at the very least, I am giving myself my absolute best chance of living a life worth living for a very long time. I want to be a great grandma some day and I think I will be and be able to do it with a great quality of life.

I just passed my one year keto-versary about 2 weeks back. I've lost 33 lbs. I have no carb cravings. My RA symptoms are much improved. I have less anxiety. Clothing size has dropped from a 12 to a 4-6! I more active. I love this WOE!!!7

I'm one month in. I've lost six pounds, and I've learned things about my blood sugar, mostly that my most significant readings are my fasting morning sugars, not after meals. My fasting morning readings have gone from 104mg% to between 80 and 84mg%.
Everything's not perfect yet, but this is a fabulous start.

I love this thread - great idea @ProCoffeenator !
I've been keto since mid-February, with some bumps in the road in March.
*I've lost 50 lbs (just hit it!)
*I've dropped 2 out of 3 blood pressure medications
*I have absolutely no cravings for carbage. Mainly I miss pizza & popcorn, so I indulge in fathead pizza every once in a while, and a small bowl of popcorn (with lots of butter) on movie nights with my boys.
*I have traveled multiple times while staying on plan - my usual downfall is vacation, but not anymore!
*I feel great!

I forgot:
*I no longer have any problem declining food/explaining how I eat. I used to be embarrassed by eating low carb - so many people seem quick to judge. Now I just answer honestly if people ask - I know I have science and my own n=1 experiment on my side!

Hard to say how long I've been on this woe since there were a few detours along the way but I can talk about the following changes:
1. Have lost 13lbs.
2. Am more faithful to my exercise program
3. Have upped my carb intake from under 20 to under 50 and feel soooooo much better
4. Still friends with my gym partner who is a strict CICO person5 -
Started being "lower carb" after diabetes diagnosis around August last year - 30c/35p/35f - just using numbers from my head and not research. Upped the carbs based on dr recommendations around April only to have lost nearly all of my BG gains by August when I started really doing my research and moved to keto.
Combining the results of lower carb and keto:
- down 18 lbs
- body fat from 20% to 13.6%
- A1c from 6.6 to 5.9 (then back up to 6.2 before moving to keto) - not sure what it is now but my fasting and postprandial readings are all down an average of 15-20 pts, so I am expecting an improved A1c at my appointment next month
- Stopped snoring (wife is very pleased with this)
- This may be TMI, but flatulence has gone from significant issue to near non-issue (wife also very pleased with this)
- back and knee pain pretty much gone
- gained a wealth of knowledge from this group, keto summit, medical journals, etc.7 -
Keto / Low carb for 1 year:
1) Dropped 61lbs
2) A1C dropped from 6.0 (pre-diabetic) to 5.2 (normal)
3) Triglycerides dropped from 100 to 89 (normal)
4) No longer heaving for breath trying to go up a flight of stairs
5) Can walk longer distances without stopping
6) Went from over a size 26 (no idea what size I was, probably around 30) to a 20-22 right now. I keep trying on size 18s hoping one day they'll fit but so far no dice
The only thing I have to focus on really is my iron levels, going to get some ACV pills tonight to help.8 -

Any prediction when you'll have a pic with both new legs in one old pant leg?1 -
I make no predictions! Lol! I'll just keep going down this path till I have to make pit stops for new pants!
My favorite pants have been taken out of rotation because they are not staying on anymore. But the legs were made to hug so unless I lose the muscle in my legs I doubt I'll ever get one of those success pictures!1 -
I have been on this diet 81 days & am down 23 lbs, I too am PCOS. I no longer feel like I am dying everyday. I have the same level of energy as I had decades ago (before the diet I was sleeping and exhausted all the time). My husband is also liking this way of eating. When we are wiping bacon grease off our lips he always says "This doesn't even seem like a diet." Nope it doesn't.1

Everyone of you are doing great! I have PCOS and started LCHF a little under two months ago. I'm down 18.5 lbs. I didn't take pictures or measurements. I wish I had, because I don't see 18.5 lbs. lost. I'm 32, 5'3" and my starting weight was 172(obese) with a BMI of 30.5. My BMI is now 27.2 which is in the overweight category and I'm very happy about that. My next goal is a normal BMI. I'm 12.5 lbs. from reaching that goal.6

This is my 6th month doing low carb and the results have validated my decision...
1. down 10 lbs since July 7th (last dr's visit) - this was kinda slow because I wasn't watching calories as much as I should have over the summer...
2. had the best blood test results of my adult life with a total cholesterol reading in the 180's and triglycerides in the 130's (this was down from a total reading of 234 and above 160 on the DASH diet recommended by the dr)
3. I sleep MUCH better than I did before
4. I do not get hungry and sometimes have to force myself to eat
5. I have more energy and can do more sustained physical activity
6. my BG has dropped into the low eighties
7. haven't done measurements in awhile, but I know that my belt is getting longer
So all around good results!7
