Okay so losing 25 pounds in a little over 6 weeks is great. I have a ways to go. I am noticing changes all over but my double chin seems to be going nowhere. It seems almost not like a double chin. More like a big hanging upside mound. Will it go away or is my losing weight that quickly causing this? Also, will any amount of walking and biking and lifting help this out?

It'll go away  Mine did! And I still have a lot of weight to lose. We can't choose where we lose the fat, our body makes those decisions for us. Exercise and strength training just builds the muscles under the fat, which can make us look leaner, but it doesn't spot reduce fat. Just have some patience with your body, it'll happen.

Every thing I've read indicates genetics, age, amount of loss and speed of loss effect how much excess/loose skin one will have in the end.

My weight loss was 63 pounds so a bit less than a third of my former self. I was 58 years old when I started and lost at a reasonable 1.25 average pounds per week. I tightened up ok during weight loss and it continued a year or so in maintenance. No real change in the last year and a half that I have noticed. Happy with how I look as a Senior. :) No real fat loss, post weight loss for me. I keep waiting for that magic but it hasn't occurred. I wear the same clothes today that I bought in April/May of 2014 and they still fit the same.

My mode was moderate weight loss per week and moderate exercise throughout. As I have said before, don't rush it. Give your body time to adapt at every change. Don't chance tanking your "systems", of which skin is one, during weight loss. Keep your overall health in the forefront. Weight loss will happen.

Take a look at the success thread in the main forum. You'll see lots of before and after pics.

Yep. Stay at it. A month and a half isn't vey long. You'll get there.

I found that after I lost the fat, it took a while for my skin to shrink and tighten. I lost the weight and felt a bit like a deflated balloon for a while. A few months really. That included my jowl region.

My skin has not rebounded. It just hangs in several areas. Still, better healthwise, and fully clothed. But when naked...not so much.

Mine went away before (lost 70 lbs over 8 months, had baby and gained it all back  ) I did notice that in certain light in a certain mirror that I now hate, there were marks almost like stretch marks very faintly tracing up chin to my neck. As much as I hated seeing it, it was way better than a double chin! My mom, who was at most slightly overweight in her life, has a dangly chin, so I wouldn't be surprised if I do too. I just moisturize and hope!

My wife can roll out of bed and take a great pic. Me not so much. Has to be right light and right angle. Just want it to go away.

Or you can try one of those neckline slimmer thingies....no idea if it actually works or not.

When you are getting a photo taken, press the back & sides of your tongue hard to the roof of your mouth. Pulls that jowly area up. Not by much, but it can look a bit more lifted... and very slightly push your head forward if you are getting a face on shot taken (shadows the under chin area for a contoured look). Don't go too far with this or you will look like a mad goose, lol. Seriously though, it does help in pictures.
