Free online summit November 7-14. "Join Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Carrie Diulus, and over 30 of the world’s top experts as they dispel the biggest MYTHS about fat, and reveal the latest research about how to eat, move and supplement your diet for improved health and longevity!"
Looking at the schedule, they have some of the same speakers as were on the Keto Summit. And it's free, so what's not to like?

Wow, so many good topics listed there. It will be hard to decide which ones to watch and which ones to let slip by!
Shamanic Healing, Challenging Food Policy, The Psychology of Eating, The Epidemic of Broken Brains. . .1 -
Bump in case anyone's interested. It's a week away.1

This started yesterday. If you have not already signed up, I would recommend it. I just listened to an interview with Gary Taubes which was great. He makes some really good points including how medical text books all teach medical students about how fat cells store fat by using insulin and glucose. Then they go and say people store fat by eating too much fat. If this thinking wasn't literally killing people, it would be laughable.
There are other good interviews as well. Today seems to be focused more on sugar, which for those of us with IR, is great info.2 -
I just listened to the interview with Pedram Shojai, the "Urban Monk." They didn't really get into diet or nutrition, but I loved what he had to say about just living, and improving your life in general once you have gotten your eating habits under control.0

For this T2D, Dr. Bernstein's interview was just riveting.
A brilliant guy with a lot of resolve, he figured out the LCHF solution to insulin resistance and high BG decades ago when trying to get his T1D under control.
On top of all the great health insights he offers, his indictment of the ADA's long history of spineless nutritional recommendations is piece of art Kafka could be proud of...5 -
Just listened to Dr. Peter Attia at lunch. Awesome. If you have never heard him or read any of his stuff, you have to at least see this video which I know has been posted in other threads. In fact everyone everywhere should see this. I know I have posted it on FB as well.

@KnitOrMiss - just wanted to let you know one of the speakers today on the fat summit is Dana Trentini with the topic of The Importance of Thyroid Health. I don't know much about thyroid, but I know that is an interest of yours.1

@cstehansen - Thank you! I will pop over at some point and see if it hits a note for me. And yeah, it's an interest, passion, and way to stay alive! Suffering hypothyroidism is not something I would wish on anyone.0

I really enjoyed the talk with Rick Warren today about the importance of community. It reminded me how much I appreciate everyone here for being so supportive, willing to share information, willing to accept different viewpoints, and willing to listen. You guys rock!2

I couldn't agree more. I am actually looking at trying to see about getting this started at my church. There are several others with IR there (just like everywhere in America). I wasn't going to listen to that interview initially, but just thought why not.2
