Hi! I'm 32 and I had a baby a little over a year ago. I am finally back on MFP, and glad to be back. I know what has to be done, I just struggle with motivation sometimes.
My short term goal is to lose 15 pounds, then I'm at pre baby weight.
Then I have two more small goals of 15 pounds.

My way to do this, is
1. log foods/calories
2. Cut out excess sugars, except for fruit
3. Make the choice between meat or cheese. I am not allowing myself to eat both in the same meal, since both have high fat, and especially high saturated fats.

I allow myself a treat meal about once a week.

Have a wonderful day! :)

It's great that you are motivated, but keep in mind that high fat isn't necessarily a bad thing unless it is so high that it causes you to go over your calorie goal. In fact, some people find that fat helps reduce cravings and therefore eat fewer calories without hunger. Just something to keep in mind. Good luck!

That and aim for leaner meats, chicken, turkey, lean cuts (or self trimmed) beef and pork, and then you won't have to worry about that choice.
