Breaking out??

Anyone have issues with breaking out since LCHF/Keto?

I used to typically get a couple small blemishes a bit before my period, but in the last few weeks I have had 3 large, deep, painful pimples. 2 of them just went away without ever really surfacing, but this third one has stuck around a bit longer.

It's weird because, besides this, my skin is looking better than ever...more hydrated, a bit more youthful, more of a glow...if I could just reign in these monsters!!

I was wondering if it was hormone or toxin release due to fat loss.

This happened to me too when I first started. IDK but I will tell you that it did go away. I no longer get blemishes during my period BUT my hair is all of sudden feeling greasier but also fuller lol. Never had this problem before ( my hair limp and dry). I blame hormones and I know LCHF does affect our hormones.

Yay... More greasy hair than I already have... lol

I'm also getting blemishes. At first I attributed it to LCHF , but it went away then. So now, only other thing I can blame is the Creatine Monohydrate I'm using. Ah well.

Not had issues with any breakouts, quite the opposite. My skin looks amazing. Best I have seen it for years.

There's some detox that occurs. It'll clear up.
