Did I possibly skip the low carb flu?

I fell off the LC wagon back in the spring, and gained a good portion of my loss back. Sigh.

But I have a goal - I'm taking my DH to Cuba in February for his 50th - and while I have no illusions that I'll be a size 6 bikini babe, I would like to be less heavy so I'm not sweating on the beach all day.

First step - joined the gym three weeks ago. I've been going probably 5 days a week at least, and walking on a treadmill for 40-45 minutes each time. This is where I'm comfortable, so I'm sticking with it for now.

Second step - get back to a WOE that I know I can live with and works for me. I started Monday - cut out sugar & white crap, and all the junk food I've been consuming for months.

I've been anticipating the wicked two-three day headache, but nothing yet. Is it possible I'm skipping it? LOL

Or does the exercise help with that?

Not complaining - just waiting for the other shoe to drop!

No need to wait for it or endure it. Go back to our main page and look under Announcements: keto flu. Welcome back!

As mentioned above, it is not a requirement. You may have avoided it by keeping up your electrolytes. Continue to do so as it can hit even a long time LC eater.

Thanks! I did read that article when I first got going on Monday - and really didn't "do" much in an effort to avoid it (although I tend to be salt heavy for my own plate of food anyway) so maybe that helped!

It can hit at any time. I salted my food pretty liberally when I started cutting carbs, and didn't really get the keto "flu" symptoms for several weeks. Fortunately, the resources in the Launch Pad clued me in long before it happened, and keto-ade had me feeling better in no time.
